The Bright Side of Life by Allan Dransfield

Who is Allan?
A guy, a traveler, a funky dancer, a big eater, a designer and a photographer. Beyond his ability to move and shake his body to some funk rhythm and take all the space on the dance floor, i definitely prefer his pictures. His photography is interested in the best world show, people. There is something more interesting of that? He has the ability to catch simple moments and turn them into gorgeous pictures that really "speak" to you. He is following at the same time different projects. So if you want to have a look on what is going on in his head check his web site http://www.1984no1died.com/
Here a "humanity" taste to remember you to always look on the bright side of life.

Creepy Pictures of a Russian Prison

London Underground, The River Fleet

Seems like London has another world underground, over the metro system still place for rivers. The Fleet River is the largest one and last one to be buried. Time here is quite important, as long you don't want to swim, actually the river can fill up to the roof in about 30 minutes, pretty scary!

Lunch Beat, the Lunch Break Dance Party!

Another boring day at work, another boring sandwich at your lunch break, another boring bar where you can it. Well, i guess this is what you are use to do. But what if you can have a party during your break? And i mean a proper party! I'm not daydreaming, this is what Swedish people do!

This is a new trend started in Stockholm and spreading to other cities in Europe. Is a perfect way to get energy, dance one hour and then back to work. Lunch beat starts generally at noon, the entrance is about 14$ and the atmosphere is exactly like a night club. The events are no-profit, the price of the ticket is used to pay the rent and sandwiches (you won't go back to work hungry).
There is just one rule: DANCE!!!

In a country destroyed by bombs some kids decided to jump on their boards against all this mass destruction and the result is Skateistan. A Kabul-based Afghan NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) which is non political and includes all the religions ethnicities and social backgrounds. Since two australian guys dropped their boards in Kabul in 2007, they were surrounded by lots of kids that wanted to learn how to skate. A group of afghan friends who were naturals at skateboarding shared their three boards, the next step was to bring more boards and establish an indoor skateboarding avenue. Now they've got a skate park since october 2009. They teach both female and male and transcending social barriers.

After the death of the little girl he fished out one doll from a canal, thinking was a sign from the evil spirit Barrera decided to hanging the dolls on the trees, making the Island into a shrine to calm the spirit of the dead girl. The dolls have missing eyes and other body parts. Don Julian Santana lived in the Island for 50 years and died in 2001. He was found drowned in the same canal he believed the girl died.
